MONDAY MINUTE | Spring Layering

MM is officially back so here's a little Monday inspiration to start the week fresh! Unfortunately the weather will not be as hot as last week, but let’s look at it from the bright side.. Spring layering as is done very well in some of the images above is much more interesting fashion wise than when it’s super hot right? Ok, I like high summer better as well in terms of temperature, but looking at these pictures makes me want to wear a light coat over oversized trousers with sneakers, which is perfect for todays weather. MONDAY MINUTE | Online vs Print

Its Sunday night and whilst in sat at home watching the Olympic Games closing ceremony, briefly looking at instagram updates and flipping through the pages of the UK Vogue magazine. I realized I havent really bought a magazine in ages -apart from the stack I did at London's airport 2 weeks ago-, when I used to collect French Vogue and have piles and piles and piles of it at home. At one point, I got so tired of seeing Ads on the first 60(?!) pages, I mean, it was ad after ad after ad. Boring stuff. Then I completely became an “online person”, I am a blogger so it also makes sense, right?

I started to consume online content like theres no tomorrow, everything is so quick online. Something happens and boom! It's on twitter, instagram, facebook, you name it and so I spent the past 6 months of my life changing my habits. Funny enough, I am sitting here a few months later, flipping through the pages of a magazine and finding it so incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. Yeah, it sounds a bit dramatic but it's true. I found myself making some iPhone photos of makeup trends, making notes about styling tricks and so on.
My point is, I found my love for print again, suddenly and randomly. I embrace being part of the online generation and I am happy I managed to sneak my way in, Oh I am! But something in me wants to go back to my old ways of consuming inspiration. At the end of the day, there is no reason why print should be in war with the online generation and viceversa.

MONDAY MINUTE | Currently Obsessing

First i would like to point out that Monday Minute wouldn't be like this every time, that is just for today :) Basically yesterday i had to charge my camera and i of course forgot (what a surprise, right?) And beacause i didnt want you to leave you without anything i decided to post some pictures that may inspire you a bit or you just enjoy (idk, okay, trying to make an excuse here). All of them i randomly chose from my tumblr (self promoting myself http://vogue-berry.tumblr.com , wink wink) and as i said dont worry next Monday we'll be having a real good time y'all! 

Introducing MONDAY MINUTE

What's up guys? So in today's post I want to introduce something new to my blog, and I've been thinking about this for a couple of months now and I think that I'm finally ready to do it and since, you know, new year, new fresh start, now is the perfect time for my idea to come to life. 

These new series that I want to start doing are going to be called 'MONDAY MINUTE'. The whole idea standing behind this is that for those of you, curious people, who are wondering when I'm going to post next, well this will basically give you a little bit of something to look forward to (if this even makes any sense) because this is something that I'm attempting to do every first Monday of a month. It's kind of like we've been dating for a year now and I'm ready to give you a little bit of commitment but I don't want to get married (some of us have commitment issues ha ha ha). 

There isn't going to be a particular theme to these blogposts they are all just going to be something you read for approximately a minute :D. They could be anything from tutorials, maybe even product reviews, they could be outfits of the day, DIYs, also answers to some frequently asked questions, I honestly don't know - expect the unexpected!!  It's basically going to be 'whatever happens and you'll just have to go with it :). 

I just want it to be something super fun, something you enjoy reading and another way for me to interact with you guys, answer some of your questions in creative ways. But yes starting tomorrow I will be doing MONDAY MINUTEs. Hopefully you guys will be into it and if you've got any suggestions just go ahead and leave them in the comment section down below and I will talk to you tomorrow. Byeeeeeee.
